Pat is a conscientious developer, master builder and visionary leader of Neal Communities. He is the third generation in his family to be a builder/developer. A graduate of the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, he was a member of the Florida Legislature for 12 years, serving our community in the House of Representatives and the Senate, where he was appointed Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
During this time, he was honored with every one of Florida’s top environmental awards. Since 1970, Pat has built more than 14,000 homes with integrity and commitment in the finest communities, and the awards he has earned in his builder developer career continue to complement his political accomplishments. He is a respected leader and inspirational philanthropist.
Charlene is a nationally acclaimed designer who uses her talented vision to bring a home to life. She is the leader in establishing the look and ambiance of the model homes and had a major role as the lead designer in the new 6,500-square-foot Design Gallery created solely for Neal customers. Staying up-to-date on the latest design trends worldwide, Charlene makes sure every home is on the cutting edge while staying true to the Neal design philosophy of a traditional style with the Florida flair. She is a graduate from University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Charlene has been in the building and design business for over 30 years, crafting more than 80 models for Neal Communities, beginning with the enormously successful Players Club in 1978. From there, she has been the leader in ensuring that each home is delivered with the style and panache that each customer deserves.
Mike brings 40 years of industry-related experience to Neal Communities, where he leads Neal Communities homebuilding businesses and new community development throughout Southwest Florida. Mike’s strong leadership skills and success with home building, land acquisition, customer satisfaction and systems integration are aligned with Neal Communities commitment to building quality homes and providing exceptional customer service. Prior to joining Neal Communities, Mike spent 10 years as division president for a national home builder, where he led his division’s growth from 150 to more than 700 closings covering two major West Coast Florida markets. He was instrumental in land acquisition purchases and finished lots for more than 6,000 homes. A State of Florida Certified Building Contractor, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in building construction from the University of Florida.
Tim brings over 25 years of experience in the home building industry to Neal Communities. As Vice President of Construction for Neal Communities, he provided field leadership for all construction activities including hiring, training, managing and motivating all who are part of the construction team. Tim made significant advancements in operational excellence and positive impacts to training, safety and customer service. Prior to joining Neal Communities, Tim served in top level positions for home builders throughout Southwest Florida. He has a general contractor and residential contractor license as well as a Florida Green Building certification. Tim holds a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Gulf Coast University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Southern College.
Mark Sochar joined the Neal staff in 1989 with a reputation in the industry for his vast knowledge of homebuilding and his strong relationship with vendors and contractors. Mr. Sochar has built more than four thousand homes during his career. His attention to detail has helped him establish an impressive list of satisfied Neal homeowners. Mr. Sochar has a master’s degree in business from Indiana University.
Jim is responsible for tax management and strategic planning for Neal Communities. He has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Benedictine College, Kansas and CPA certificates from Missouri and Florida. Jim has worked with Neal Communities for over 35 years and is a key member of the executive team.
Nancy attended the University of Florida and University of South Florida, graduating from USF with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She started in home building right out of school with a large national home builder and worked 16 years in the industry at the Controller and VP of Finance level. Most recently, Nancy ran Pitney Bowes Shared Service Center in Tampa where she handled A/P, tax and fixed assets for North America and Canada.
With over 30 years of experience in the home construction industry, and as owner of a custom home building company for 15 years, Chris joined the Neal team from a national homebuilder where he was the area construction manager. He has served as vice president of operations at Neal for several years. His past experience includes vice president of operations, project manager and construction manager. In addition, Chris is licensed as a general contractor by the state of Florida. Chris is a University of Florida graduate, with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.
With over 25 years of experience in new home marketing, Leisa manages all marketing and public relations for Neal Communities. She has also been responsible for creating, designing and managing the overall design theme for Neal’s communities. Leisa was named Marketing Director of the Year by the Southeast Builder’s Conference Excel Awards. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and the professional designations of Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) and Certified Sales Professional (CSP). In addition, Leisa has served as a Sales and Marketing Council member of the Manatee County Home Builders Association, chairperson and vice chairperson of the Aurora Awards, co-chairperson of the Excel Awards and on the design committee of the National Association of Home Builders. Under her direction, the company has won numerous awards and recognition by all of the major building associations.
Carlos brings over 14 years of experience in the real estate and homebuilding industry to Neal Communities. As Vice President of Sales, he leads a team of over 40 sales associates located in communities from Tampa to Englewood. His focus is on strategic planning, enhancing the sales process and assisting our team members in reaching their goals. Carlos previously served as general sales manager for a national home builder, where he developed and executed all sales strategies and was ranked as one of the best in the nation. Carlos holds a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University and bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He additionally holds a master’s degree in international business.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Tashara brings over 15 years of experience in the HR industry. Prior to this position, Tashara excelled as Neal Communities HR Director. Tashara’s duties include the overall development, coordination, administration and evaluation of the HR functions, including managing the department, developing and maintaining systems, implementing interview processes and continually evaluating company guidelines, policies and employee compensation packages.
Tashara began her career in the HR field in Sarasota, Florida, shortly after relocating from Hooksett, New Hampshire. Before joining Neal Communities, Tashara gained invaluable experience while serving as the human resources manager for two expanding organizations with 70 full-time employees, reporting directly to the CEO and president. Tashara holds the PHR and SHRM-CP designations and pursues growth, development and educational opportunities to increase her skills ability to serve Neal Communities employees and clientele whenever the opportunity arises.
Jason is originally from Tampa and has over 15 years of land acquisition experience, including procurement for a national homebuilder and a commercial developer. In his current role, Jason is responsible for acquiring land and home sites to supply Neal’s home building business. Previously, Jason was a consultant in Hong Kong, Chengdu and Shanghai, China, where he lived for 5 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from Northwestern University.
A seasoned national land developer Mark, originally from Ohio, has a civil engineering background and more than 10 years of experience in land development and community building. He holds a bachelor’s degree in technology from Ohio Northern University and a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Findlay. His national land development experience includes managing an aggregate budget of more than $250 million and direct land entitlement, and development and delivery of finished lots totaling more than 5,000 homes. As Neal Communities expands rapidly, Mark assists our efforts to gain additional market share and reach into more markets.
With her extensive experience in construction management, Cathy directs all of the daily functions of Neal’s purchasing department including materials procurement, subcontractor negotiations, cost estimating and pricing. Her earlier experience includes working on a Department of Energy nuclear construction project for nearly a decade, and later for a commercial contractor building libraries and supermarkets in New York. Cathy has been a Neal team member for over 22 years.
With over 30 years of experience in the home construction industry, and as owner of a custom home building company for 15 years, Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge in exterior and interior design to Neal Communities. She has been a Neal team member for over 20 years. Among her many responsibilities, Kathy manages the Design Gallery and talented team of designers. Along with evaluating the latest design and market trends, she participates in the creation of new plans and elevations. She is responsible for the architectural themes and exterior color palette in all of Neal’s communities and is coordinator for all of the model homes and merchandising. Kathy maintains a strong commitment to serving our buyers with the latest and most current design styles.
With over 20 years of successful sales leadership experience, including 13 years in sales and marketing management, Doug joins the Neal Communities team with a focus on strategic sales planning, enhancing the sales process and pursuing monthly goals for both the sales and Design Studio operations. Previously, Doug served as a sales and marketing manager for several public and private home builders in Virginia and Maryland. He holds an MBA from Loyola University and a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University. In his various professional roles, he has been instrumental in new community and product development.
Dan Ciesielski is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in civil engineering. He has over 25 years of experience including home building, civil engineering, municipal services and land development. He has been personally responsible for over $500 million of land development projects encompassing over 10,000 units. Dan has successfully worked with representatives of municipalities throughout SW Florida including Hendry County, the City of Labelle, the City of Clewiston, the City of Homestead, Lee County, the City of Ft. Myers, Collier County, South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Transportation and Army Corps of Engineers. Dan has a proven track record of successful outcomes with clients and has been the face of the companies that he has worked with to represent them as they expanded into new regions.
He is also a member of Urban Land Institute and has volunteered for many organizations including Habitat for Humanity.
