Neal Communities has donated $1,000 to help fund Manatee County Schools' Challenge Day. The innovative
program is designed to support and encourage leadership, service, and compassion among area youth.

Neal Communities donates the service of its Drafting Department to provide Computer Aided Drafting
(CAD) to Habitat for Humanity's CRA Project in Palmetto. Habitat's CRA Project is located in a
district long overdue for improvement. With guidance from Tammy Kramer, manager of Neal's Drafting
Department, Neal Communities' will draw the Habitat house plans in CAD format which will allow
Habitat personnel to create different elevations and floor plans in a more efficient and effective
way. The technology will improve the agency's design offerings, adding variety and character to
their home packages. In addition, Habitat will be able to add these plans to their portfolio use
them in future projects and have the ability to continue to change and modify them as needed.

In keeping with his company's continuing support of local children's charities, Pat Neal, president
of Neal Communities, presented The Child Protection Center with a check for $5,565.50 in a ceremony
held at Head Start, 350 Braden Avenue. The funding will cover the Center's costs to develop materials
and programs designed to educate area children about staying safe.

The school is currently refurbishing existing buildings and constructing a sizable new addition
that, without Neal's expertise, would have meant the destruction of several forested acres of school
property. Pat Neal, president of Neal Communities has provided the consulting services of the
company's in-house land development manager, Charlie Walters, on the project to save the trees and
help formulate a complete, Florida-friendly landscape plan for the school.

Neal Communities' recent donation of $1725.00 to Kinnan Elementary School will purchase textbooks
for the school's Art Department. These books will be used by all grade levels and are expected to
greatly enhance the school's ability to provide a quality creative learning experience for its
students.

Neal Communities is proud to report its sponsorship of the Randy Rankin Scholarship Classic
organized by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), Manasota
Branch. The Classic is an annual fundraiser that provides the base for the stipends and scholarships
for graduating high school students in Manatee and Sarasota counties. The event began in 1997 and
since then, ASALH has awarded scholarships to 25 students in our communities.

Among its numerous efforts to support area educational programs at every level, Neal Communities
continues to underwrite an annual scholarship that it established in 1998 called The Building and
Construction Scholarship for Manatee Community College.

Neal's contribution of $5000 will help fund the Ward Temple AME Church's ongoing summer outreach
program, which is available to area children of all ages. The summer outreach program started over
a decade ago to provide children with a healthy, safe environment where they can improve their lives
through recreation, education, and spiritual enrichment.

Pat Neal presented a check for $1433 to the fifth grade class at Kinnan Elementary School to fund
plants, soil, shovels, trowels, concrete, and arbor benches to create an authentic butterfly garden
in the school's courtyard. Butterfly books for each classroom and for the schools media center are
also included in the donation.

Neal Communities donated eleven computers and eight monitors to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Manatee
County. Pat Neal, president of Neal Communities, made this contribution in order to give children
the opportunity to share what they have learned with their families and continue the education
process at home. The computers will be used in several programs for children at the Boys and Girls
Clubs that teach computer skills including power point presentations, digital arts, skill technology
and internet safety.

Neal Communities has donated $2500 to the Women's Resource Center of Manatee. The Women's Resource
Center in s not-for-profit organization that supports the emotional and financial independence of
women by encouraging educational and vocational success.

A donation of $2200 to Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes, which offers camp and
weekend programs throughout the state for youngsters with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. The
contribution allowed the purchase of 5 Funyaks and 5 Aquanaut Twins.

The sign for the Patrick and Charlene Neal Nature Center at Dream Oaks Camp was recently dedicated
by Pat and Charlene Neal, of Neal Communities, who are funding the center's construction at the
summer camp program for terminally ill, mentally and physically challenged children and at-risk
youth. Neal Communities donated $58,000 for the organization to build the nature center. The nature
center gives campers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn about the environment and
our ecosystem.

Neal Communities donated $15,000 to the Florida Independent College Fund (FICF), which manages
scholarships for the Independent College and Universities of Florida (ICUF). The gift will fund six
Step-Up Challenge Scholarships for students in the Bradenton and Sarasota areas who are low-income
parents, current or former welfare recipients, or who have been served by the state foster care
program.

Pat and Charlene Neal contributed $15,000 to kick-off the campaign to raise $75,000 by the Great
Outdoors Conservancy to purchase a 62-acre parcel of land along the Myakka River for conservation.

Neal Communities provided funding for the Parrish Civic Association's summer camp, giving parents a
safe alternative for their children. The camp entertains and educates 50 students, ages six through
twelve. The funding will also cover drug testing and background checks for the counselors who will
take part in the camp. As part of the summer program, students enjoy several field trips to places
such as Emerson Point, The Florida Aquarium, Tropicana Field, Mote Marine and the Pelican Man's
Sanctuary, G-Wiz, and MOSI.

Seven local elementary schools took advantage of visits to Mote Marine Laboratory, thanks to money
provided by Neal Communities. Through a corporate giving program, Neal provided money to cover the
costs of admissions of more than 680 Manatee County children. "Mote is an outstanding facility and
resource center," Neal said. "Because of funding cuts in recent years, many school children could
not visit Mote... I look at it as an investment in the future of our community."
