Wednesday, May 2, 2018  |  Promotions

As cats are the most popular pet in the world, it’s only fitting to honor their special place in our lives. Join the Neal Communities I Love My Cat challenge, happening from May 1-31, 2018, and you might just win a $500 gift certificate on us.

To enter just take a photo of your cat in your Neal community and post it on your Facebook page during May.

Here’s How It Works

Enter between May 1-30, 2018. Just snap, post and start collecting “likes” and “shares”!

  • Take a photo of your kitty enjoying the good life in your Neal community.
  • Post the pic to your Facebook page and make it viewable to the public.
  • Include a brief statement about why you love your pet.
  • Your I Love My Cat post must also include these tags as shown:
  1. Be sure to include @NealCommunities as is, complete with the @ tag and no spaces in the name.
  2. Use the location feature to identify which Neal neighborhood you reside in.
  • The photo that gets the most “likes” and “shares” wins, earning the proud parents a $500 gift certificate from Neal Communities.

Be Creative!

Have fun with it! Include a pet parent (or sibling!) in the shot, use props, or place your feline friend by something that represents your community. To drum up lots of “likes” and “shares” recruit all your friends to vote for your kitty pic!

Fun Cat Facts

We want you to get creative with your photo of your furball out and about in your Neal community. Here are some fun kitty facts, courtesy of Factretriever.com, to put you in the right frame of mind!

  • A group of cats is called a “clowder.”
  • Cats make about 100 different sounds. Dogs make only about 10.
  • A cat’s hearing is better than a dog’s. And a cat can hear high-frequency sounds up to two octaves higher than a human.
  • A cat can jump up to five times its own height in a single bound.
  • The Egyptian Mau is probably the oldest breed of cat. In fact, the breed is so ancient that its name is the Egyptian word for “cat.”
  • A cat’s nose pad is ridged with a unique pattern, just like the fingerprint of a human.
  • Cats don’t have sweat glands over their bodies like humans do. Instead, they sweat only through their paws.
  • A female cat is called a queen or a molly.
  • Cats are extremely sensitive to vibrations. Cats are said to detect earthquake tremors 10 or 15 minutes before humans can.

Celebrate cats with us during our I Love My Cat month! Make your cat a star and you just might win a $500 gift certificate from Neal Communities.
