Sunday, June 21st is Father’s Day, which means it’s a great day to spend time with the whole family. The Sarasota/Bradenton area has plenty to offer. Here are three great options for making the most of the day.
On Father’s Day, dads have free admission if they bring their children with them to Mote Aquarium. Visitors can have an up close experience with a variety of marine animals and fish, including two touch shark tanks. Visit the manatees and sea turtles that share our Gulf coast home, and be sure to say hello to some of their star residents, like Hugh and Buffett the manatees.
Sarasota Jungle Gardens
Established in 1939, the Sarasota Jungle Gardens is a perfect way to get back to Florida’s roots, providing visitors with a glimpse of the old, natural landscape that makes this area unique. The Jungle Gardens are also home to over 150 different native and exotic animals ranging from flamingos to alligators and crocodiles.
Don’t miss out on the shows that they offer as well, where you’ll see the animals in a new light. The Jungle Bird Show is great for young children. Sarasota Jungle Gardens has the same Father’s Day special that Mote Aquarium offers—fathers get in for free when accompanied by a child.
Siesta Key Beach
Last but not least is amazing Siesta Key Beach. Ranked the #1 U.S. Beach by TripAdvisor, Siesta Key Beach has some of the softest sand in the world, 99% of the sand being made of quartz, while other beaches are made up of coral. Whether you plan to stay all day or for just a few hours, don’t forget to protect yourself and Dad with plenty of sunscreen.
From our family to yours, the team at Neal Communities hope that you have a happy Father’s Day and have an enjoyable time wherever you go!
